I don't believe in Reiki—could a Reiki treatment still be good for me?

Yes. You don't have to believe in Reiki to experience it and find a treatment beneficial. Reiki isn't a matter of belief, but an experience you can have for yourself. Your body will receive precisely the amount of Reiki energy it needs at any given moment.

Is Reiki dangerous?

Accepted Answer

Reiki, the spiritual energy, is completely harmless. However, everything is about relationship – and in a Reiki treatment, there is also a relationship between me as the practitioner and you as the recipient, which, depending on your previous relationship experiences, can seem dangerous to your nervous system. In that sense, a Reiki treatment is no more or less dangerous than any other relationship we enter into in our lives.In my Reiki sessions, I therefore always work in a trauma-sensitive manner and make sure that you feel as safe as possible before we even begin the treatment.Furthermore, a Reiki treatment may trigger a cleansing process that resembles an initial worsening of symptoms. This is no cause for concern; on the contrary, it indicates that previously stagnant energy in your body has been set in motion.

Why does Reiki say that I heal myself?

In Reiki, we assume that your body and your inner system absorb and process exactly what is right for you in any given moment. Our minds cannot fully grasp how much energy you need at any given time and what it sets in motion. We can see this as a higher intelligence – your essence, your true self, or the natural wisdom of your body. Ultimately, it is something within yourself that carries out the healing process.

What does it mean that a Reiki treatment stimulates the body's self-healing powers?

Accepted Answer

Where energy previously felt stagnant or blocked, it can now flow more freely again. This allows your body to give its natural regeneration processes more space.Emotions, bodily sensations, or thoughts that previously had less space can become more consciously perceptible. Sometimes this happens immediately during a treatment, sometimes later. And sometimes the effect simply manifests as greater calm, relaxation, or inner connection. All of this is part of the self-healing process.

Question 5

Do you also treat children with Reiki?

Accepted Answer

Yes, I also treat children and babies in my practice, but I only offer distance Reiki for adults. Treatments for children are shorter than for adults. Please contact me if you would like a Reiki treatment for your child.

Question 6

Are there any contraindications or age limits for Reiki?

Accepted Answer

Reiki is generally suitable for people of all ages. Since Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive method, there are only a few situations in which special consultation might be advisable. Reiki does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment, but it can complement it.
